Terms of Use (EULA) – SERU Exam Prep – Private Hire

Effective Date: 23 June 2026

This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User") and Solidblackabroad ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") governing your use of the SERU Exam Prep – Private Hire mobile application ("App").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by this EULA. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the App.

1. License Grant

Subject to compliance with this EULA, Solidblackabroad grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices that you own or control.

This license is granted solely for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Educational Purpose

SERU Exam Prep is designed to assist users in preparing for the London Private Hire SERU examination.

The App is an educational tool only.

We do not guarantee:

  • Passing the official SERU examination
  • Employment opportunities
  • Licensing approval by TfL
  • Specific examination outcomes

Users remain responsible for their own preparation and examination performance.

3. Subscription Services

Certain features of the App may require a paid subscription.

Premium features may include:

  • Full mock tests
  • Advanced practice questions
  • Progress tracking
  • Additional learning materials
  • Future premium content

Subscription pricing is displayed within the App and may vary by country.

4. Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.

Your account will be charged through your Google Play Store or Apple App Store account.

Renewal charges occur automatically unless auto-renewal is disabled.

5. Managing or Cancelling Subscriptions

Google Play Store

To manage or cancel a subscription:

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap your profile icon
  3. Select "Payments & Subscriptions"
  4. Select "Subscriptions"
  5. Choose SERU Exam Prep
  6. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

Apple App Store

To manage or cancel a subscription:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your Apple ID
  3. Select "Subscriptions"
  4. Choose SERU Exam Prep
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not refund any current subscription period already paid for.

6. Refund Policy

All purchases and subscription payments are processed through:

  • Google Play Store
  • Apple App Store

Refund requests are governed by the policies of the respective platform.

We do not directly process refunds.

Users should contact Google Play or Apple Support regarding refund eligibility.

7. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute App content
  • Reverse engineer or modify the App
  • Resell or commercially exploit the App
  • Use automated tools to extract content
  • Share premium access with others
  • Use the App in violation of applicable laws

8. Intellectual Property

All content within the App including:

  • Questions
  • Mock tests
  • Images
  • Graphics
  • Logos
  • Text
  • Learning materials
  • Software code

is owned by Solidblackabroad and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

No content may be reproduced without written permission.

9. Availability

We aim to provide continuous access to the App but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may update, suspend, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solidblackabroad shall not be liable for:

  • Examination failure
  • Loss of profits
  • Business interruption
  • Data loss
  • Indirect or consequential damages

arising from use of the App.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if users violate this EULA.

Upon termination, all rights granted under this license immediately cease.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use periodically.

Changes become effective upon publication of the updated version.

Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
